There is no problem if a minister or members of the administration as an assistant to take his family members if it does not involve the payment of any salary or allowance by the government, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The Prime Minister said what is not allowed is if it involves the payment of salaries or allowances by the government.
"If voluntary and not a member of the minister's office, we have no barriers. (Can if) he aids in the program and did not involve any government payments," he said.
The prime minister was speaking to reporters after launching the National Settlers Day Celebration, Launch of Integrity Plan Hari Raya Felda and Felda Sungai Tiang in Pendang today.
He said the issue of Tourism and Culture Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, who allegedly took her as a special officer in the ministry, he understood his assistant minister was not paid government official.
"I was not an official assistant, not only in the official help. JAP in the list as an assistant minister paid salaries and allowances by the government," he said.
Many questioned the actions of his son Mohamed Nazri take work in his own ministry was minister.
However, Mohamed Nazri said that his appointment is not official appointment and not paid by the government.
On the proposal to all members of Parliament and Assembly required to declare their assets every year, he said the government had just set the members of the administration who must declare their assets.

Prime penteri said assets and property declared by the members of her administration can also give space to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to check.
